Position Summary:

The Accounting Manager performs an integral role within Sextant Marketing, responsible for the accounting department and all areas of financial reporting. We are looking for a crew member to develop and maintain accounting principles, best practices, and systems for collecting, analyzing, and reporting information. Must have a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The accounting manager will advise on budgets, financial strategy, financial reporting, and forecasting.

This is a functional manager role, and hands on management of the accounting tools for invoicing, billing, bookkeeping and day-to-day operations will be core aspects of the job, transforming into a more focused managerial role as growth permits.

The optimal candidate will have strong finance management and organizational skills and an accounting or finance background. The person who fills this role will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and other senior leadership.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing & reporting Sextant’s financials correctly. This includes working with core clients, service providers, and similar. This crew member will also successfully process AR/AP tasks in a consistent and timely manner. Thus, the candidate will support all aspects of the company’s finances and be responsible for the successful operation of the accounting department. Examples of these responsibilities include:

  • Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
  • Oversees the daily activities of the accounting department and ensures that all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time. Examples include:
    • accounts payable/receivable
    • month and end-year process
    • revenue and expenditure variance analysis
    • cash forecasting
    • treasury, budgeting
    • payroll and utilities
    • general ledger
    • capital assets / account reconciliations
  • Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
  • Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Collaborates with internal teams
  • Assists other departments as they develop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business.
  • Manages the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.
    • Recruits and hires accounting and financial staff, contractors, and conducts performance evaluations.
  • Reviews innovative technologies and strategies to keep Sextant Marketing at the forefront of developments in financial management and accounting practices.
  • Candidate must show desire to lead, take on multiple tasks and grow within the role that allows for leadership and experience in a range of finance and accounting disciplines.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Strong understanding of and experience in directly managing accounting software such as QuickBooks Online and/or Wave Accounting.
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
  • Excellent communication skills; comfort with being on the phone and communicating through emails.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Proficient at organizational management and applying good judgment on business endeavors.
  • Positive attitude with an optimistic and energetic disposition.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks within deadlines and learn advanced strategies.
  • Desire to learn and excel with a growing company.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in associated field required.
  • Exceptional math skills.
  • Previous experience as an accountant, accounting supervisor, or manager
  • 3-5 years of experience in an accounting/finance role, preferably in a marketing, advertising, or similar agency environment.
  • Experience in an agency setting and experience with direct client communication is preferred
  • Experience with a high-volume, multi-client agency is a plus.
  • Experience with the higher education marketing industry is a plus.

Position Summary:

The Marketing Project Manager is an integral role within Sextant Marketing, providing customer-focused marketing solutions, while supporting the team in the strategic development and the tactical execution of marketing activities. This position provides hands-on opportunities to plan, launch and manage digital marketing projects for the higher education & corporate-focused clients within Sextant Marketing’s portfolio. The Marketing Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring marketing projects are completed to client expectations, within specified timelines and budgets. The optimal candidate will have strong project management and organizational skills and a marketing background. This role will work closely with the Vp Marketing Operations and marketing services team.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The Marketing Project Manager will be responsible for fulfilling the full-cycle of client marketing campaigns. Thus, the candidate will support all aspects of the digital marketing funnel and be responsible for the completion of timely projects for key clients. Examples of these responsibilities would include:

  • Collaborates with internal teams to create deliverables and timelines for new product launches, new marketing campaigns and optimization strategies.
  • Ensures marketing services team members have clear direction and priorities in order to complete marketing project deliverables.
  • Manages agency time allocations with respect to client needs and agreements through effective project assignment and prioritization.
  • Able to identify areas of opportunity for process improvement, new tools for project efficiency and help implement these recommendations.
  • Communicates directly with clients on topics such as, but not limited to project timelines, scope and strategy for marketing campaigns, while setting appropriate expectations and resolving issues in a professional manner.
  • Oversees and supports the execution and measurement of digital marketing campaigns across a wide variety of advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Moz, Facebook/Instagram Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc.
  • Oversees and supports the execution of digital content plans and SEO campaigns including content publishing, link-building, and on-page optimization campaigns.
  • Reviews new technologies and tactics keeping Sextant Marketing at the forefront of developments in digital marketing.
  • Candidate must show desire to lead, take on multiple tasks and grow within the role that allows for leadership and experience in a range of marketing disciplines.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Knowledge of project management and traffic management processes and toolsets, such as Trello, Jira, Active Collab, Microsoft Project or Sharepoint.
  • Have a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies and be able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution. This position will work with the marketing team, account management, supporting teams (such as programmers), and vendors to launch campaigns on time and on budget.
  • Knowledge and experience in any of the following disciplines is needed: email marketing (large scale) and Internet marketing, social media marketing, web development, creative design, vendor management, and campaign analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills; comfort with being on the phone and communicating through emails.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook,).
  • Understanding of and working knowledge of web Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress and Drupal.
  • Understanding and experience with SEO campaign management and associated software such as MOZ, SEMRush, Raven and/or equivalent.

Bilingual Warm Transfer Advisor – Responsibilities 

  • As part of the Bilingual Warm Transfer crew, you will work with emerging technology to communicate with prospective students through a variety of channels. Sextant uses enterprising contact center systems that leverage leading AI, analytics, reporting and workflow capabilities that allow us to help our advisors and clients achieve outstanding results. 
  • You will be responsible for assessing and qualifying prospective students to determine if their academic and professional goals are a match for our partner schools. As part of the Sextant crew, you will be helping students achieve their goals with institutions that include top public and private colleges, universities, and vocational schools across the country.  
  • Advisors use innovative technology to provide remarkable support via phone in a high-volume call environment. In this position you will establish rapport and build relationships with students as you help guide them through the decisions and steps they need to take to succeed.  
  • Achieve measurable results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Data-first technology allows you to offer an engaging customer experience that truly makes a difference.

Position Summary: 

The Director, Client Services is an integral role within Sextant Marketing, providing customer-focused marketing solutions, while supporting the team in strategic and tactical execution of marketing activities. This position is responsible for managing the overall relationship with several higher education clients within Sextant Marketing’s portfolio. The Director, Client Services leads client strategy and growth opportunities, oversees budget forecasting and marketing planning, is a skilled marketing practitioner, and both manages and actively participates in the day-to-day activities for their assigned clients. The optimal candidate will have experience in higher education client relationship management, digital lead generation, contract management and team development, and familiarity with multi-channel digital media planning and execution (SEM, paid social, display, etc.) whether in a professional services or education environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities 

Reporting to the Managing Director, Client Services, the Director, Client Services will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and working with Sextant Marketing’s leadership to drive our overall client strategy.  In addition to delivering organic growth from existing clients, the desired candidate brings a strong business development mentality to complement their ability to nurture existing business. This person will be responsible for ensuring our clients achieve their lead generation, enrollment and revenue goals via the execution of data-driven approaches, strategic marketing planning, building collaborative internal and external relationships, and ensuring the timely and effective execution and optimization of digital lead generation campaigns.

Examples of these responsibilities would include:

  • Working directly with the client to set periodic enrollment targets, budget and lead goals, and develop strategies to achieving these goals.
  • Expertly owning and communicating client background, objectives and financial implications to internal Sextant Marketing teams and both lead and contribute to the development and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Driving Sextant growth through preparing and presenting proposals to potential clients, while identifying and acting on organic growth opportunities to expand Sextant’s existing client relationships and contract renewals.
  • Creating and interpreting analytics, media and CRM reporting to optimize campaigns to maximize quality lead delivery and exceed cost per enrollment targets.
  • Identifying target audiences, developing messaging and creative strategies and media segmentation to reach and convert individuals into student enrollments.
  • Conducting regular status meetings to ensure client satisfaction and progress toward achieving designated objectives.
  • Ensuring compliance with client’s institutional brand standards.
  • Acting as liaison between internal/external clients, partner agencies, execution team and management to ensure flawless communications and program execution.
  • Working with Sextant Marketing leadership to develop and promote expanded service lines.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required 

  • Proven leadership and client relationship skills, as demonstrated by a track record of successful organic growth and strong business performance
  • A strongly entrepreneurial and resourceful mindset, capable of both seeing the bigger picture and managing the details required to deliver assigned work on time and within client and manager’s expectations
  • A “player/coach” mentality, adept at both leading others and contributing to the work and the team
  • Familiarity with sales funnels and performance analysis (forecasting and optimization)
  • Proven experience in planning, executing, measuring and optimizing integrated marketing and lead generation campaigns, and a history of achieving lead goals through the identification of unique audiences and targeted campaigns within strict budget management parameters.

Education & Experience Requirements 

    • At least 8 years of client relationship management experience, preferably with executive-level client contacts (bonus points for higher education category experience)
    • Previous experience contributing to the business development process (including RFP’s) desirable
    • Referenceable experience working directly with Presidents, Provosts, Deans, Vice Presidents and other applicable leadership in higher education facing industries preferred
    • Bachelor’s Degree required.

This is a position where hands-on development of banner ads, html emails, landing pages, video/animation content, brochures, web pages, and more allows for project delivery to the higher education & corporate-focused clients within Sextant Marketing’s portfolio. This role will work closely with the Vice President of Marketing Services and the Marketing Services team of designers, copywriters, marketing managers and project managers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The Associate Graphic Designer will be responsible for supporting the full-cycle of client marketing campaigns through the development of creative assets. Thus, the candidate will be exposed to all aspects of the digital marketing funnel and aid in or become responsible for the completion of timely creative assets for key clients. Examples of these responsibilities would include:

  • Ability to conceptualize a creative idea/message from the information presented in a creative brief.
  • Learn to implement best practices in direct response digital media.
  • Maintain an image library for clients based on brand guidelines and optimize images for the requested medium.
  • Actively participate in brainstorming sessions to develop new content, imagery and messaging for clients within our portfolio.
  • Stay up-to-date on the ad unit availability and ad specifications for digital platforms such as Google Display Network, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snap Chat, and more.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and quality, while meeting deadlines.
  • Publish blog articles, add new content, edit existing web content and provide maintenance to client websites.
